Applied Kinesiology

Linda Spense has been busy checking out workshops, treatments and courses from all around Australia.

Recently she travelled to North Sydney to learn about Applied Kinesiology with accredited practitioner and Touch for Health instructor, Kathryn Cooke.

Applied Kinesiology was developed in the 1960s as a chiropractic tool and has since become popular with other medical professionals such as dentists, doctors and naturopaths.  An effective diagnostic tool, Applied Kinesiology can be used to discover allergies, emotional issues and physical ailments using the patients’ energy fields and the related muscle strength.

Kathryn Cooke has been practising Applied Kinesiology as part of her healing repertoire for decades, and in our pilot episode she demonstrated how simple, effective and accurate this tool can be.  Once the issue has been properly diagnosed, Kathryn uses a range of healing techniques to help heal or remove the cause.

If you would like to try Applied Kinesiology to help diagnose an issue

THIS WEEK’S GOOD NEWS

HOPE FOR ANIMALS ON BRINK OF EXTINCTION

In New Zealand’s Waikato region, an extremely rare Takahe chick has hatched - the first to be born in the North Island for hundreds of years.  The flightless Takahe was thought to be extinct until a small number were discovered in Fiordland in the 1940’s.  Since then, Takahe numbers have remained dangerously low - around 230 - but this new chick brings hope for a brighter future.

Meanwhile, the plight of the Tasmanian Devil has received a boost with scientists making a major discovery about the cancer that is threatening the species.  After years of research the cause of the disease has finally been established and work can now begin on a diagnostic tool, treatment or vaccine.
